There is plenty of basic accommodation, mainly A-frames and huts. Sibu Coconuts Village Resort (tel: 010-7612761) and Junansa Villa offers kampung style hospitality; Twin Beach Resort commandeers the middle of the island and therefore two beaches.
Pulau Tioman
Telek beach is lined with small virtually indistingushable resorts you can check out each one until you find something you like. At the end of the stretch is Berjaya Tioman Beach Resort, tel : 09-4191000; Fax : 09-4191718; the largest and only luxury - resort, with 400 rooms and suites, golf and all the facilities expected of a resort. Rate : RM200-RM400
Peladang is well-kept, kampung style accommodation with roomy chalets in pretty gardens, but sits across the road near the mini market and has no beach. Rate : less than RM100
Air Batang (ABC) and Juara are backpacker and A-frame beaches, Salang also has budget accommodation as does Mukut, while Paya and Genting cater to locals and Singaporeans and have more up-market accommodation.
There are dive shops at Telek (Tioman Reef Divers and Scuba Point), ABC (B&J dive centre), salang (Dive Asia and Fishermen Dive Centre), Penuba (Bali Hai Divers).

Pulau Aur / Dayang
Another packages only destination, the prettiest beaches are on Pulau dayang; chalets and longhouses available at Blue Water Holiday Resort, tel : 07-7994027; Dayang Blues, tel : 07-7994558; and on aur, Mahmood’s Chalet, tel : 07-7994217. enquire about the smaller operations at tour agencies; packages.

Pulau Pemanggil
Basic accommodation and only packages are available, usually for groups of 10 or more. Enquire at the travel agencies.
